Final Contents Page

This is my final contents page. I have chosen this as my contents page because I feel this portrays the genre of my magazine well and it is also easy for the target audience to relate to as it is simple and eye catching therefore they will remember my contents page. There are plenty of conventions which make the contents page easy for the audience to understand. The layout is also a key convention.

Third Contents Page Draft

I have rearranged the layout of my contents page however I dislike this contents page layout because it is not conventional to have the 'news, review, live and features' section on the left-hand side, for example, when the audience are flicking through the pages, it is easier for the audience to glance at the bottom right therefore the editor should position the most important article at the bottom right for easy access.

Second Contents Page Draft

This is my second contents page draft. I have changed the colour scheme to match some of the front cover drafts I have produced. I prefer the red colour scheme as it easily represents the genre and the target audience of my magazine.

First Contents Page Draft

This is my first contents page draft. I like this one as it has lots of conventions necessary to my music genre. I have kept a theme throughout my magazine, for example, my front cover requires red, black and white and on this contents page I have use those colours again to make it easier for the audience to relate to. This is the NME magazine contents page that I took inspiration from. As this magazine and my magazine both share the same genre, I have therefore taken some ideas I think will be useful when creating my final contents page.

Final Front Cover Draft

This is my final front cover. I have changed the colour scheme as well as the main image I was going to use. I have done this because I feel the outfits used on these models suit the colour scheme more appropriately on this image than the other image. 

I have taken my inspiration and conventions from a real NME Front Cover.

Third Front Cover Draft

This is my third front cover draft. As I am doing indie genre, I have analysed an NME magazine front cover. Feature stories are shown in stickers, for example, different whacky shapes. Therefore I have included stickers on mine, I do not like this however it is a key convention.

Second Front Draft Cover

This is my second front cover draft, after having feedback. I have altered the background to make it more obvious who this magazine is aimed at. Due to changing my background colours I have consequently had the change the colour of my feature story to white. I have removed the mini pictures which were around the sides of the cover as they are not necessary and they are not key conventions of a magazine cover.
